Lighten your dustbin
- Buy less in the first place. In the consumer society that we live it is not possible to stop buying at all, but we can make different choices.
- Aim to buy products that have do not have excessive packaging. Irresponsible levels of wrapping is a common cause of waste.
- Purchase product with minimal packaging, and if possible where packaged with paper rather than plastic.
- Try and reuse shopping bags, or use your own re-useable alternative.
Junk mail
Junk mail is irritating. It is socially irritating. It commonly stops you opening the front door and is an environmental pest.
