The Centre for Child and Family Research (CCFR) is an independent research unit based in the Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University. Established in 2002, the unit carries out high quality, policy relevant research into children, families and communities.
Our research is influential both nationally and internationally and provides the evidence base for the development of a wide range of policy initiatives to respond to diverse issues with an emphasis on those related to children in need.

- New Study: CCFR have recently been commissioned by Action for Children to carry out a study to examine the cost effectiveness of delivering Action for Children Intensive Family Support services. The study aims to explore the real cost of delivering the service to vulnerable children and families and to identify the realisable savings this delivery has on local authority budgets (posted 21.05.12)
- CCFR is currently undertaking research to inform the Munro Progress report and revisions to Working Together to Safeguard Children (posted 29.03.12).
