Social Psychology

Admission to the Programme

The programme is a popular one and we receive a large number of applications each year for our forty-five or so places.

Qualifications required

Any combination of A-Level subjects (including General Studies) is acceptable for entry to the programme, and no subjects are recommended or favoured above others. You are also encouraged to apply if you are taking a combination of A and AS levels or if taking VCEs, or Scottish Highers. Equivalent entry-level requirements are set for other examinations (e.g. International Baccalaureate).

ABB-AAB from 3 A Levels or 2 A Levels & 2 other AS Levels (General Studies accepted)

Unlike many Psychology degree courses, GCSE mathematics is not one of our entry requirements. However, you do have to be able to perform simple arithmetic with confidence. If you are a mature applicant, we will be happy to consider you. Please email the Programme Director, Dr Alexa Hepburn if you have any queries.
