Sport and National Identity Seminar Series 2011-12
Many colleagues and PhD students at Loughborough University share an interest in the broader topic of ‘Sport and National identity’. A research group has started working on the project 'Sport and National Identity in Post-Conflict/Fractured Societies', and a much larger group of colleagues and PhD students representing six different departments within the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities met recently and discussed potentials in this field.
The idea is that two or more colleagues present short papers (circa 20 minutes each) to be followed by a discussion in an informal setting. We would like to stress the multi-disciplinary and/or inter-disciplinary nature of the seminar series, and that is not only directed to those who have already worked in these areas.
