Professor Jonathon Chambers awarded the first QinetiQ Visiting Fellowship - January 2008

Professor Jonathon Chambers receives his award from Sir Keith O'Nions

On the basis of more than ten years of collaboration with the signal processsing team at the QinetiQ Technology Centre, Malvern, in particular with Professor John McWhirter FRS; Professor Jonathon Chambers, the Head of the new Advanced Signal Processing Group, within the Communications Division, Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Loughborough University, has been awarded the first QinetiQ Visiting Fellowship.

This title is awarded to people who are not QinetiQ employees, but who are performing work consistent with the standards expected of QinetiQ Fellows and Senior Fellows, namely authoritative, experienced experts with exceptional strength and breadth.

Jonathon received his award for "his outstanding achievements in adaptive signal processing and his very valuable collaboration with QinetiQ".

The award was made at the awards ceremony held at Blenheim Palace, 24th October 2007, by Professor Sir Keith O'Nions, Director General, Science and Innovation, Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.
