Campus Directions / Parking
See below for instructions for getting to the gatehouse. Once at the gatehouse, Security will issue a permit for entry onto campus. Drive onto campus and take the first road on your left (going down a hill) - the department is on your right towards the bottom of the hill.
You cannot park near the department, so at the bottom of the hill, turn left just before the barrier into Car Park 1 - you can park anywhere in here. Walk back up the hill to the department. Reception is half way up the hill on your left.
From M1, J23
Leave the motorway and head east on the A512 towards Loughborough. At the first set of lights go straight ahead. (There is a right turn for Nanpantan signed but ignore this.) At the first roundabout turn right. After two hundred yards, turn left and stop at the Security Gatehouse.
A6 from Leicester
Head north towards Loughborough. Just before you reach Loughborough, you will encounter a large roundabout with Loughborough signed straight on and also to the right - choose the straight-on route signed University or M1. Follow over a series of roundabouts (Shelthorpe Road, Beacon Road, then Forest Road). You will then see university buildings on your left.
The main University entrance will be on your left just before the next roundabout. Ignore this entry onto campus and turn left at the roundabout. Follow the road through the traffic lights (note campus accommodation on your left). At the next roundabout turn left. After two hundred yards, turn left and stop at the Security Gatehouse.
A6 from Derby
Turn right at the first roundabout as you enter Loughborough. Turn left at the next roundabout, then straight on at the next (note hospital on your left). Turn right at the next roundabout towards the motorway. Follow the road through the traffic lights (note campus accommodation on your left). At the next roundabout turn left. After two hundred yards, turn left and stop at the Security Gatehouse.
From the A60
Follow signs into Loughborough and then follow signs for the M1 motorway. You will pass through the town and will then be heading outwards on the A512 (Ashby Road) towards the M1 motorway. Loughborough University campus will be on your left (the road becomes a dual-carriageway). Follow the road through the traffic lights (note campus accommodation on your left). At the next roundabout turn left. After two hundred yards, turn left and stop at the Security Gatehouse.
A42 from Ashby
Leave at the northern Ashby junction and head east on the A512 towards Loughborough. You will pass through Shepshed and then cross the M1 motorway. At the first set of lights go straight ahead. (There is a right turn for Nanpantan signed but ignore this.) At the first roundabout turn right. After two hundred yards, turn left and stop at the Security Gatehouse.
