BACKGROUND
Iensys is a spinout of Loughborough University's Wolfson School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. The technology behind the company was first developed by Professor Rob Parkin to provide a one-stop service for the management of machine and process health to optimize the availability of mission critical equipment.
PRODUCT
Iensys provides a knowledge-based service for the intelligent operation and monitoring of machinery and processing equipment. They advise on design and monitor performance in the field (remotely via the internet).
The focus for the technology is very broad and includes any industry where machines are needed for manufacturing or service industries.
OPPORTUNITIES
The potential of the new technology is vast. It can be applied in any environment where machines are needed for manufacturing, or service industries, and could significantly reduce the billions of wasted maintenance expenditure every year in the UK alone.
